Technology at Lumina

• Intra-oral Scanners are handheld devices  that capture high-resolution images in your mouth, allowing the orthodontist to visualize and diagnose the best treatment plan for you.  This technology allows us to avoid taking putty impressions while capturing a 3D scan of your teeth and gums for future retainers, aligners or diagnostic models.
• Both of our clinics are equipped with the I-Cat CBCT machine.  A CBCT is a specialized type of x-ray technology that produces a panoramic x-ray of your face, jaw, and teeth for accurate diagnostics and treatment planning by our orthodontists.
• Our orthodontists look to FormLabs 3D Printing System to create custom made and in-house orthodontic appliances and models. When combined with our Intra-Oral Scanners, the 3D Printer allows us to produce appliances for you that are exceptional in detail, comfortable and ready for you in a timely manner.
